Studs…Studs…EVERYWHERE. The Burberry Prorsum collection was dripping with metal embellishment throughout the presentation.

From motorcycle and rocker jackets (that I LOVED!!!) to trench coats…Mini dresses were also the rage as were prints (bustiers/ dresses/coats, etc.) and the slim fit pants were skin tight!!!

Body Conscious AND Sexy…

The Jonathan Saunders presentation was a compilation of looks from another era doused with strategically placed bursts of gorgeous color that allowed the collection to emanate a thought of “Hmmm…classic with a dose of “POP”…

With neon orange, cerulean blue, kelly green, etc. all of the clothing mainstays (pencil skirts/ mini dress/ bustiers/mini skirts, etc.) were even more desirable.

LOVE!!!

This season may be known as the “PRINT RENAISSANCE” period because so many designers are showcasing their print prowess on the catwalk.

To ensure that she was not overlooked or outplayed, Holly Fulton presented a lovely collection immersed in Art Deco imagery that featured bold graphics (clothing AND accessories) from head to toe (LOVED the jewelry).

The laser cut yellow frock was wonderful, not to mention the graphic pencil skirts and UNBELIEVABLE wide leg trousers. Mmmm!!!

TODD LYNN

Todd Lynn is a designer that flaunts his aptitude for androgyny. His previous F/W collection flourished with similar construction but added a flare with the fabrication.

Linen, leather, snakeskin and cotton were placed throughout the presentation. My favorite piece is the cocktail dress heralding a reflective asymetrical neckline.

YUM!!!

MARY KATRANTZOU

The Mary Katrantzou presentation was an architectural and fashion 3 – D showcase. A snapshot of the designer’s train of thought and how she took the phrase “thinking out of the box” (or more like in the box) to a whole new level…

Via a few new designers, the digital print concept is becoming more popular, but this interpretation of escorting the onlookers into the room??? So surreal..

Some details that caught and held my attention? The lamp shade skirt, the “walk through the courtyard” ensemble,  chiffon curtains fluttering at the hems of skirts and it goes on and on…

Beautiful AND Inspirational.

Ethereal, Celestial, Heavenly even…Just a few thoughts while viewing the Roksanda Ilincic show.

It could have been the trick mirror backdrop which seemed to give each model an aura that resonated during the presentation.

In regards to the collection, there was no trickery here…Every look seemed as if it was floating on air. With garments made from silks, satins and organza there is plenty to choose from for your Spring or Summer event.  LOVELY!!!
